Pizbrooke
is an original Stanford Cottage built during the early
1900's. During the years, it has been transformed from a
four roomed thatch-roof cottage, to what it is today.
Most of the original building has been left un-spoilt
with a few additions representing a century of different
styles, artistic flair and fashion.
Pizbrooke has two bedrooms with top quality inner
sprung mattresses, down duvets, and pure cotton
bed-linen. Hot water bottles and towels are provided. |

antique cast iron double bed. Country
beds, like this black one, were
un-usually tall in order to keep out
the draft.

Middle
bedroom, with
antique, cast iron, double and single
bed. This bedroom looks onto a
beautiful herb garden.

Pizbrooke has
two bathrooms/toilets.

The
inside bathroom has a Victorian bath
(absolutely original)

The
outside bathroom, conveniently
leading off the covered back veranda,
has a newly built glass shower.

The
kitchen is fully equipped.

White
shelving relocated from the original old
pantry.

Oregan
staircase leading to the attic has been
left where it once stood in the pantry.

recent and very welcome addition is the
imported fireplace/stove.

country garden with braai facilities.

this garden bench, the sights and sounds of Stanford's
vibrant bird life will surround you.
